Giraffes & Elephants
Last weekend we had the opportunity to go with another volunteer into Nairobi to a baby elephant orphange and a giraffe park. The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust rescues elephants that have been orphaned or injured and left to die in the wild. They have around-the-clock caregivers feeding the animals every 3 hours. Did you know?- Elephants have the approx. same lifespan as humans- 65-85 years. The goal of the center is to re-release the elephants back into the wild to join another herd. After the elephants, we went to the Nairobi Giraffe Centre. We got to feed the gangly animals and pet them. So tall!

So cool! Those guys are so cute. Just bought Lauren's haloween costume. She's gonna be a giraffe! If only she was with you to get some pointers. ;)
