Finishing up at YWAM

We leave tomorrow for a driving journey across New Zealand for a few days before heading back to the states! The last week+ has been full of lots of work, more mingling with the very friendly Kiwis, and even a talk at a church service.

A YWAM trustee and neighbor, Dave, asked Rainer and I to speak at the annual Christmas Carols Service at the local church in Taipuha. He asked us to speak about our travels, ministry and to tie it in with Christmas. Many of the attendees would be non-believers that come to this service each year. We put together a slideshow and created a message full of God's gifts and His most important gift, Jesus. My husband has a gift. It is teaching. He came up with a great idea for the talk and totally impressed me as God spoke through him. It was a wonderful night and some people asked Christ into their lives that night. A few others were inspired to look into going to Kenya. God is doing amazing work all over the world! We are so blessed to be a part of it.

This is at "Mainly Music", a ministry Julia runs in the town Paparoa. It's a great time for young mothers and their kids to learn/play together, while also hearing God's message and building relationships.

We were busy planting more plants and doing laundry this week.

Biggest zucchini I've ever seen ... from the garden. Julia and I made a big feast for the base volunteers and trustees.

Climbing around

A local we met at church, Kerri, took us and Robbie out on his boat for a tour of the harbour at Pahi

We saw 4 dolphins in the harbour! They were flipping around and slapping their tails.
