Adventures from farmland
I came back from Papaora where I helped Julia with a ministry she does each week, to find Rainer standing over a massive pig. The throat was cut and he was shaving the hair off with a knife. I promptly told him I was going to make us lunch... without meat today.
Rainer helped the farmer shoot the pig in the head, right in front of the baby pigs (see earlier post)
After it was dead, they had to haul it with a rope over a fence. Rainer later had to gut it and set the inners on fire. Gross. .... but we love bacon!
The local cows that got loose left a friendly reminder RIGHT in front of a staff person's front door the other day.... hehe
