A few weeks ago Rainer and I were interviewed by the BBC. They contacted ACTs/African Impact and asked for volunteers that were combining tourism and volunteerism, possibly in reaction to the American recession. When our coordinators choose Rainer and me, we saw it as an opportunity to share our faith.
We met them at the LCC for filming and the interview. It was awkward, but interesting. They filmed other volunteers, Patrick, the director, a coordinator and others. They interviewed us together and we had so many great opportunities to talk about serving the Lord and that that is the purpose of our trip. We intentionally spoke of God in every answer, giving them little opportunity to edit out His name and our purpose. They managed to edit His name out of all of it. However, it is a great video showcasing the LCC and what a great place it is for displaced and lost children.
