We saw so many different animals, viewed incredible scenes, and stayed in such cool lodging. We saw over 50 giraffes, multiple prides of lions, cheetahs, leopards, hyena, wildebeasts, elephants, a family of ostriches, hippos, antelopes, and much more. The scenery in the park is breathtaking.
The first night we were at Basecamp. Our own tent/treehouse overlooking the Talek River into the park was so cool with complete furnishings and eco-friendly bathroom… including an outdoor shower, drop toilet and padlocks on the tent zippers so the baboons wouldn’t get in! The second night we stayed at Sekenani Camp and were 1 of 3 couples at the place. Our treehouse had a traditional bathroom inside the tent. The food at both places was incredible! And the monkeys at Sekenani were very cool… except when they scared us by popping out from under the table! Such a blessing of a weekend to experience and see God’s beautiful creation.
