Pisa & Florence

We stopped in route to Firenze and saw the leaning tower. We flash visited it, which unless you want to pay to hike to the top, I recommend this type of visit. We took a cab to the white marble monument, snapped a photo, and cabbed back to the train station. I’ve visited it before, but it’s still crazy to see something that large look so ‘off’.

Florence is a beautiful town; one of my favorite in Italy. We visited the Basilica de Santa Maria with all that gorgeous red, green and white marble. We strolled through the leather market, crossed the Ponte Vecchio and had another delicious Italian dinner.

Thanks to the Lord, we have been so blessed. It has been a privilege to serve Him this summer and He has taken care of us. Rainer and I have been talking about the many prayers He has answered- from our traveling to finances, and the organizations we are working with to our vacation time. All the glory is His!

We feel like we are leaning just like this everytime we have our huge packs on our backs.

All the people trying to hold it up...

In the leather...
