Krakow has a huge main square. For our 3 days in Krakow, the D-group leaders (disciple group college-age leaders) were ‘in charge’ of the team, so they ran our ministry, O-time (down time for the students), quiet time (personal daily scripture reading and time with the Lord), among other things. They organized our performances and our schedule. It was a great experience for them to all have various roles leading. Before all the shows, the students walk around and pray for the people that will watch and they will interact with. Rainer is the master behind the music. Then we run the shows- dances, puppets and dramas- the latter of which creates the opportunities to bring up ‘what people just saw’ or ‘how they felt about the skit’, etc.
One night for dinner, I got the team peirogis (Polish 'ravioli' type dumplings) and kielbasa sausages for a traditional Polish meal- it was fun and so good! But our first night there, Curtis and Jen took us senior leaders out for Pepez Pizza.... it definitely lived up to the expectations everyone set starting way back at training camp.
