Kenya beach

What a blessing. We had the opportunity the past few days to travel to the beach. We were at Tiwi beach, just south of Mombasa with friends that live here in Kenya, some full-time and others temporarily. It was great weather, a nice house, salt water pool, and so fun swimming in the waves in the Indian Ocean.

Our housemates were John, Kim and Amanda, all whom work in different capacities for a wilderness program and camp called Blue Sky. It is a sister program to Winshape Foundation in America. Blue Sky is a fantasic summer camp with the purpose of sharing the gospel. It reaches out to a group of children that don't have many programs like this- amabassdor children, missionary children, and others. A few of the weeks are made up of alot of Muslim children, so it's a great opportunity to share Christ's name.

Our other two housemates were our friends Jane, our ACTs coordinator, and her fianace, Nick, who works for Care for AIDS. In a nearby cottage were Will, who works for Global Connections, his wife Kim and her friend Kami, who are teachers in Nairobi, and their friend Than who was born in the states, but has lived in Kenya since he was very young. We had a great crew and a fun week!

The beach at very low tide, full of sea urchins.

Swimming in the pool, which was surrounded by trees full of monkeys!

Small 3-hour break down in route to the beach, this is Nick getting off a 3-man motorbike with the mechanic.

A view from the lookout at the top of our house.

Our housemates.
