Village Market has a traditional Maasai crafts market every Friday, a huge food court, other nice restaurants, art galleries, shops, a movie theatre, bowling alley, putt-putt course, a water park and more! Rainer and I have taken part in all the above, including the water park which was so awesome. I screamed so much my throat hurt while we rode all 6 slides and the non-laziest river I’ve ever seen… it zoomed around the park and even underneath a building!

Village Market
Every Friday our house heads to the Village Market, just outside of Nairobi. This place is, as Rainer called it, “a hitchhiker’s dream for a date night”. It has everything. Rainer has taken me on a wonderful date every Friday night since we’ve been here! Our housemates head back to the house around 5pm, and we stay for date night.

Quite speedy
Only $6 for us to go to this awesome water park!

Here we go!
Going for the strike!
Kikuyus (tribe that lives around Limuru where we live) have a hard time with 'r' and 'l' words. Therefore, our names sound like Rindsey and Lainer alot.
Not in Village Market, but this past weekend we went to the famous 'Carnivore' restaurant in Nairobi. It's like a Brazilian steakhouse with meat skewers coming to the table until you surrender.
Rainer and I actually tried Ox balls, Ostrich meatballs, Sheep liver, Sheep heart and Crocodile.
