Back to Chicago

Students! Rainer and I, along with 5 of our summer staff, Curtis and then the equivalent for each Royal Servants team headed up to Chicago again this past weekend. We picked up over 170+ students, while still more drove straight to training camp. We spent about 10 hours in a school bus, including a break down from overheating. But the trip was a success and God provided safe travels, few hiccups and wonderful students ready to have the Lord work through them this summer.

Some students were pretty nervous at first. Some have never traveled before, and some have never spent a night in a tent. A couple have no clue... example: I was chatting with one girl whom I picked up at the airport last weekend. After leaving the Chicago airport, we drove through town to the church, then 5 hours later were at a rest stop on the way back to the training camp. She told me, "I didn't realize until I saw a map at the rest stop that we were in Illinois. I thought I was flying to Idaho." These students will learn alot this summer!

Pray for our students that they open their hearts and their eyes this summer and let God work. Pray for Rainer and I for focus and to stretch the few hours of sleep we will get each night.

7 full buses, ours broke down from over heating and no oil pressure

Waiting in Chicago at the church, everyone getting to know each other

Rainer thought it was funny to take a picture of me vacuuming the stairs with the oldest vacuum every made (that's Curtis about to go up the stairs)
