Biiiiiiiking in the rain
Skydiving, paragliding, biking, canyonning and scenic heli-tours were all on the list for our off day. But, after looking at the budget, we planned out a bike trek with a cablecar ride to the top of Schilthorn. Unfortunately it rained, so we spent that money on a great Swiss lunch. We rented bikes from Lauterbrunnen and rode through the valley to the cablecar station. From there we rode up to Murren, spent the afternoon, and then biked down the mountain.
At camp, before leaving
View of the valley while riding the cable car through Grimmelwald before arriving in Murren.
In the ski town of Murren. Our plan was to take the cablecar to the top of Schilthorn, but it was cloudy and not worth it. About 18 of our students spent the entire day (12+ hours) hiking from camp to the top!
Lots of lumber stacks the whole way down the hill
Had to get yummy fondue in Switzerland
A rosti- a local dish in this Jungfrau region of Switzerland, this one has hashbrowns with ham and cheese on top, then baked... alot of them have eggs fried on top of that
View from our restaurant
A few clearings gave us a great view
We stopped by the Callier (a Nestle company) chocolate factory, but they started charging for entry this year, so our group couldn't go in... but we enjoyed the show room
