All the people I did exchanges with didn’t speak English, or if they did, it was broken. And my English isn’t that great anyway. I was in bullet proof rooms. I had bags of money in every currency with 3x5 cards keeping up the notes. Excel was not an option. Kuna, Zolatie, Euro, Pound, Swiss Franc everywhere. A lot of times, my task consumed me. I had to give it to God everyday and trust that He would give me time to balance my sheets, to balance all the money questions from all the students, and to balance my time with my beautiful gorgeous blogger wife. The end.

More about money… entry from Rainer:
I’m a freak. I’m an organizational freak. This was a good thing for my task this summer. My task was to keep the finances and accounting books for 46 individuals all over Europe. The Lord taught me that I was putting organization in front of Him. I had to do exchange rates at border patrols on the fly. Our team leader likes to ‘punt’ as he calls it. And I was a quarterback. It was crazy and fast. I had to balance people’s accounts on the coach, using a pillow and Lindsey’s lap as my table.

Mo money, mo problems
Looks like Jason Bourne. Handing out passports at a border crossing.
Finance makes me sleepy
Always giving out the cash....
