Last days in London & goodbye
Post a few more days in London, we had to say goodbye to the EuroQuest team. It was bittersweet to see them drive away for Heathrow at 6am. We had a wonderful summer and despite us being there for the students, we ended up learning so much. It was a great experience where we saw God working in so many ways. We learned a lot about leadership, patience, flexibility and being bold with our faith.
We went to the famous Harrod's department store in London. We were very impressed by this framed item for sale. It is EVERY single US president's signature. Very cool..... for a nice 250,000 pounds (about $490,000).
The store has everything from fresh fish, expensive furniture, live dogs for sale to these cute yummy looking cupcakes.
Rainer and I went to see the Tower of London and museum.... the old quarters for the Royal family of England.
We saw all the Royal Jewels.... very cool and HUGE. These were carried for each coronation.
With the guards. They really wanted a picture with us.
Rainer and I went to see Toy Story 3 at the IMAX in 3D.... the largest screen in England!
Curtis and Rainer getting out the last of the money in pounds. This change place was in the middle of a tourist shop!
Rainer handing out the student's last bit of spending money.
Packed up and ready to go. My pack looks so big because I had a few extra bulky things I mailed home right when we got to the hotel.
PS I don't have a photo, but we also went to the theatre show "We will rock you", a musical with all Queen music.... it was awesome!
