We took a boat trip around the island on a Catamaran. After taking Bonine to settle the waves in our stomachs, we took off with only about 12 other people on board. We sailed in open water with land insight towards red beach. Our hostess explained some of the history of the island, which was mostly created from a volcanic eruption. We snorkeled and saw not much more than the bottom of the ocean and boat. The crew made a delicious lunch of pork chops, pasta salad, shrimps and bread. The second stop was off of white beach had lots of fish and dad impressed us with multiple back flips off the side of the boat.
Our last stop was at some hot springs. The blue ocean blended in a cove with brown dirt water bubbling up from a hot spring. It was such a great day with the breeze as we laid out on the netting in the front of the boat and mingled with other guests on board.
We headed over to Pira, a nearby town on the ridge for an interesting Greek dinner. The chef liked to mix flavors. Rainer actually ate parmesan ice-cream with his steak. I had a sushi lollypop on top of my salmon.
