Oui, oui we finished our 3 week trip through Europe in Paris. It was a much anticipated visit for most of the students. Our first day was spent doing ministry near the Notre Dame cathedral. Right in front of Saint Michel’s fountain our students performed for the last time in front of crowds in public. They did three shows and gathered a big audience which led to many conversations. Morris, our bus driver, then gave us a driving tour through Paris, including a long stop at the Eiffel Tower and a couple laps (12!) around the largest round-a-bout in the world at the Arc de Triumph.
For our last day in Europe, the group headed to the Louvre and I was put in charge of taking all 42 through in 1 hour to see the highlights. It was messy… but we saw Venus de Milo, Winged Victory, the Dying Slave and of course Mona Lisa, among others. Then the group was off in their discipleship groups for the day. Rainer and I jumped on the Metro and met up with his good family friend Elaine Bobo, who is studying at the Cordon Bleu. We had a great visit and loved seeing her! Then, we all met up at Notre Dame and headed back to camp.
